I went to a Billy Graham Crusade with my school. I remember when he gave the invitation, I felt a tug at my heart. All my friends were going to the altar. I remember thinking, wait for me! I didn’t want to be left behind. Because of him, I accepted Christ that night! I’ll never forget that day.
When I was 10 years old I fought with my siblings to gain control of the TV so I could watch a Billy Graham crusade on TV. After the sermon I bowed to accept Christ. I was sent discipleship materials for one year! My 30 years in ministry, now as an Army Chaplain, stem from that night! PTL!
You are the first preacher I ever listened to. I believe that you will receive the crown! And a word from the Lord you served saying, “Good and faithful servant.”
My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of grief. My family always watched the crusades. My husband died in 1995 and the reruns of the crusades always gave me peace and comfort during my lonely times. I know he will still be preaching in heaven.
I remember watching the Billy Graham crusades on TV with my mom and dad as a little girl. Mr. Graham was always an inspiration to my young heart. What a legacy he has left behind. I lost my dad 5 months ago today, but I am sure he was thrilled to have been with Jesus today to welcome Billy home.
Whenever I think of Mr. Graham, I think of my dad, who had little trust in some pastors but thought so highly of Mr. Graham. My father appreciated his frankness, his character and most of all, loved to hear him preach the Gospel. To Mr. Graham’s family and close friends, my sincerest condolence.
My life would not be the same without Dr. Graham and all his sermons spending the Lord’s word. I have many of his sermons on tapes.
Dear Graham family, I know how it feels to mourn the loss of a loved one. I am sorry for your loss, but I can only imagine how wonderful it must be for Billy Graham to be with His Saviour and Heavenly Father right now in Heaven. What rejoicing there must be! So thankful for the Graham ministry!
I have watched Dr. Graham 50 of my 60 years of life. I’m so thankful to God that he sent us humble Dr. Graham to teach us His word as no one else could. He just had a way of getting to you, to make you want to follow Jesus! Now he is home with the Father, the Son, and the love of his life, Ruth.
Beloved Bro Billy, it was a joy to have served in four crusades and saw the joy in the Lord, integrity, and the hope to people. He taught me to live and serve the Lord with joy and be His best, and to love people. He was/is a prince and a gentleman. God bless and reward him. Franklin, press on!
