My parents had an LP Record with many of the Crusades pieces. My favourite was Brother James Air (The Lord’s My Shepherd). Always watched the Crusades on TV in our home growing up. Much respect for an unblemished life and Christ-like example. The simple Gospel message always delivered.
My mother Joyce McMurtrie came to Christ in 1976. She prayed a sinner’s prayer with Billy while he was on 100 Huntley Street. Community was praying for her, it just happened to be Billy that day. She prayed the sinner’s prayer with him, was taken to crusade in Toronto. The following day, she was saved.
Thank God for Rev Graham. He led me to Jesus as a child watching him on TV. I know the amount of souls he has led to Christ; he has a soul winner’s crown. To the family, you should be proud of him. I know you will miss him, but he was God’s gift to the world. Thank you for sharing him with us.
I have spent my life watching Preacher Graham’s crusades and have been so moved by them. I am one of the millions who want to express my love and appreciation for his work in Christ Jesus. I love the LORD and I know more about Him, because Preacher Graham followed the LORD. Thank you Preacher.
Thank you to the Billy Graham family. You have shared a precious gift with all the world. God bless you in Christ’s love.
So sad to hear of the passing Rev. Billy Graham. I wish I had the chance to thank him for the years I sat in front of the TV. And finally coming to see him in CLT 1996. Please accept our condolences.
All the angels in heaven are singing and rejoicing at Rev. Graham’s presence among them now. Was born and raised in Charlotte and my mother took us to his crusade before I turned 10. Hooked on his teaching now for over 70 years. See you in Heaven. Be blessed.
My memory I have of Billy Graham is watching him with my grandmother when I was a little girl. She wanted me to have a personal relationship with the Lord. I did accept Jesus at 8 years old. With much heartfelt sympathy and prayers.
Words fail to adequately convey Billy’s legacy. What a mighty servant. I think it was his genuine love for the Savior that made his preaching so powerful. Looking forward to the day when I will meet him in person. Prayers go up for his beloved family.
I remember attending my first Crusade with my parents at a large church in Atlanta when I was about 5 years old (70 years ago). Hearing about how much God loved me made a lifelong impression on me. I was amazed at how many people answered the altar call. Thanks for sharing him with the world!
