Will always remember his crusade in Knoxville, TN at the University Of Tennessee in 1970. Truly a great man of God. Never a hint of scandal. He always preached the truth of the Bible and God’s forgiveness if one would accept Jesus Christ. The only way to gain Heaven.
My husband’s grandparents accepted Christ at a crusade in New York in the 1950’s. They went on to raise 8 children to love the Lord. Those went onto have 24 children and now there are 28 great-grandchildren. All are followers of Jesus Christ. Grandpa also became a pastor! Wow! What a legacy!
While my heart hurts for the family, I am rejoicing thinking of the homecoming he is having in heaven! He will be greatly missed! You all are in our prayers! The LeGrands Columbia, SC
A hard life of doing the Lord’s work will be rewarded in such a way we should all strive to achieve. My family & I are stronger hearing his faith inspiring speeches. Patty & Joe Bryant
Billy Graham has impacted so many people’s lives including mine. Because of him he helped encourage my walk with the Lord. He certainly was a man living and giving it all to God.
I am 25 years old and I remember when I first heard Billy Graham nearly 8 years ago. My grandpa introduced me to him, and in many ways, Billy became a grandfather figure to me. I had never heard someone speak with such authority and yet with so much love. I cannot wait to meet on the other side.
Heaven is rejoicing. What an inspiration Billy has been in my life. He was a true man of God. He had God’s love in his heart for the human race. His message stands: “God proved His love on the cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, ‘I love you.'”
I saw him at Rice Stadium in the 1970’s. I went forward. I accepted Christ. I’m 60 years old. Life has not been easy. But I always had a friend -Jesus- that I leaned on. I cannot imagine taking the journey of the last 40 years without Him. Thank you to Billy for making a difference in my family.
The grief is as if I lost one of my dearest family members. As a young man in the 1970s I sold many of Dr. Graham’s books to publicists and churches all around India with Operation Mobilization. Dr. George Verwer, the founder of Operation Mobilization himself, was saved through him.
Words can never express what a difference listening to Brother Graham has made in my life. Wee hours of the morning coming home from the night shift to find him on TV. Always just seemed to be just the message that I needed to hear every time. Sleeping late on Sundays and waking up to his voice.
