I was about 3 when you came to Knoxville, Tennessee. Your sermon is still etched in my mind. I remember thinking at the end of the service, I need to be saved. God was truly with you in your life ministry. Thank you for allowing God to work through you. Now go rest high on that mountain.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Graham as part of the lighting crew for many crusades & TV specials. I am a Catholic, yet Dr. Graham’s messages reawakened my heart and devotion to following Jesus Christ.
Billy Graham was one of the few preachers in “the media” who I liked. He was spot on with the things he said. He will be missed, especially in these dark times.
Legacies, no matter how profound or unique, are meant to be passed along as lessons for future generations. In that spirit, Billy Graham’s passing is a time to remind ourselves that his Biblical-based message remains timeless and unwavering. We must pick up his baton. Former Publisher, The Miami Herald
By God’s grace I was born again in 1983 under the ministry and clear & anointed preaching of the very Reverend Billy Graham. His devotional books, magazines, and of course, his personal life of integrity have spoken to me deeply. I will pray for comfort for all the Graham family. L.A.M.B.
Dear Graham Family, I was never able to attend a Billy Graham Crusade but watched them on TV. Forty-seven years ago, while watching a Crusade, I gave my life to Christ. I will pray for your family in the days to come. He was such a mighty man of God.
Franklin, No doubt a wondrous home-coming celebration when your dad, the Lord’s devoted servant, crossed the finish line entering the place our Savior Jesus said He would go prepare for us. May the peace of our Jesus Christ surround you through this time. Your sister in Christ, Judy Bratten Chap
I remember listening to Billy Graham speak at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida, when I was a teenager. I am now 72. He made a big impression on me that the only way to live my life is to say YES to God. Through the years Billy Graham has spoken to me through his daily devotion books too.
Words cannot express what Billy Graham has meant to me personally throughout my life of 71 years. In a sense, he was another father. So my heart goes out to you–his precious family–because no matter how deep your faith, how powerful your witness, he is still your daddy. And you miss him.
In 1993, after the death of my mother, I learned about The Billy Graham Training Center. I took the first of many seminars that year. I met Dr. Graham, Franklin Graham, and ate in the dining room with them, with Ruth and with Cliff Barrows, his music minister. I have continued to be blessed.
