Rev. Billy Graham has always been a hero of mine. His impact will last for eternity and I’m grateful to God for his ministry.
I met Billy Graham in person a few years ago when my church’s choir was asked to be in Billy Graham’s choir during his Louisville, Ky. convention. I got a special shirt, but what I remember most is when I went down because I needed prayers, he was caring even though there were 100s more people.
Thank God for the many people’s lives who have been changed. I remember my grandparents loved to listen to radio broadcasts of Billy’s sermons. They, retired ministers, themselves had great respect for him. In the 1960s there was a Billy Graham crusade in Boston, and we attended. God worked.
I was 6 years old when I asked Jesus into my heart at the Crusade here in Sydney Australia. Dr Graham’s preaching was so powerful and clear, I understood every word. The path of my life was set. I am forever grateful!
To the family of Dr. Graham,
Like millions of others, I gave my life to Jesus at his Denver Crusade in 1964. I’m still trying to be the Christian that God would have me to be. I struggle every day, but always remember going forward at that Crusade and listening to many more on TV.
He was truly a man of God. I would listen and watch him on TV since I was a kid. Jesus saves no matter who you are I can still hear him say, “Jesus loves you.” Let him come into your heart, ask forgiveness of your sins and be born again. Welcome to the kingdom of God.
I worked at Billy Graham’s Crusade at the Pontiac Silverdome in 1976, soon after I had been widowed. The Silverdome was torn down some years later, but Billy’s witness there will live on forever. Each life he touched multiplied by the lives they touched all added to his account. Thank you Lord!
I was privileged to hear Dr. Graham speak in Houston, Texas, in 1965, where God’s seeds of love and faith were planted in my heart. We are saddened at his passing, and yet joyful that he is now with his Lord. Oh what a wonderful celebration is taking place in Heaven as he is welcomed home!
Thank you so much for sharing your family with us. We will leave a better legacy to our kids having read Ruth’s books and listened to Billy so much.
God indeed blessed us with Mr. Graham’s presence and he spoke directly to us. He never looked down on or belittled anyone but always looked to the best and up to our Father. We watched him on the world stage proclaiming, “God loves You!” I think in so many ways he said God loves you and so do I.
