As a young child, my family watched Dr. Graham’s rallies on TV and again, as a young nurse, my friends and I attended his rallies. He was instrumental in bringing me to faith. I believe Dr. Graham was the greatest evangelist of the 20th century. My deepest sympathy to his family.
I grew up listening to Billy Graham on TV. I was fortunate enough to go to Charlotte, North Carolina, twice. In the stadium on those two nights, I felt that I was in the presence of God. I had so much respect and admiration because he preached in simple language and anyone could understand.
When I was first saved, I wanted my sister to get saved, too. I invited her to the Seattle Crusade, and she heard the Gospel. Soon after, she committed her life to Christ, as well. I’m so thankful He is in heaven with Ruth now. Our sincerest condolences and heartfelt prayers to your family.
I’m praying for his family. I always loved his sermons.
I was 17 years old, and a friend had been witnessing to me for years. She never gave up. I finally agreed to attend a Billy Graham film. It was at that film that I surrendered my life to the Lord. I became a missionary for 22 years, sharing God’s heart for the world with children.
I believe in the message that Rev. Graham has always preached. Because of his message, I began serving as a volunteer Rapid Response Team chaplain for many years. I served in many states and for years in Biloxi, Mississippi, after Hurricane Katrina. I continue to support BGEA and Samaritan’s Purse. Thank you. ❤️
I remember watching the Crusades on TV when I was a small boy in the ’60s and would soak in all that Billy said. I would seek out the Crusade when it was on. I believe that I gave my heart to God at the end of each one, and I believe that is why I devote my life to Jesus today.
In 1971, my friend and I went to the Civic Center in Lansing, Missouri, to the Billy Graham Crusade. Leighton Ford spoke, and Earl Nelson was there. That night I asked Jesus to come into my heart, and I became a child of God. Thank you, Mr. Graham.
Billy Graham reminded me of God’s love and forgiveness. He lived his life as a real example for all to follow.
I remember back in 1983 when Billy and Franklin had a crusade in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that I attended! It was awesome!
