Memories & Condolences

God has used the life and ministry of Billy Graham to impact the lives of millions around the world. Perhaps you have a testimony about Mr. Graham’s ministry.

What did Mr. Graham mean to you? We invite you to share your stories and remembrances or express your condolences to the family here.

  1. When I was a young man I seriously considered taking my own life. I was very lonely without hope. My mother sent me my childhood Bible and a copy of a pamphlet titled “The Power Of Prayer,” a message from Billy Graham. I read and believed the message. I prayed, God worked on my heart, and I lived.

  2. Karen Quinton Jeffers

Billy Graham has been a part of my whole life. Growing up Baptist, he was always on our TV. My husband was saved in Brussels when he was stationed in Germany with the Army. My family has been so blessed by his ministry and now by Franklin and Anne.

  3. Louis & Mary Schwartzenberger

My husband Louis and I were blessed to be able to sing in the choir at the Billy Graham Crusade in Portland in September 1992. To hear him speak every night at the Crusade was such a privilege and foretaste of rejoicing in heaven.

  4. Jan Sundberg

I was so impressed by how Dr. Graham responded to the terrorist attacks on 9/11. His speech was incredibly from the Lord. It gave peace and comfort to a nation that was pretty down. I loved how he handled himself in those situations. Our nation will surely miss him and his vision for outreach.

  5. Dusty Bach

I accepted Christ at the 1985 Billy Graham Crusade in Anaheim. Years later I met Billy’s friend Lorne Sanny who discipled me in my faith. Lorne was part of the BGEA team for years, leading Crusade counseling. Today I am a pastor in CA, and I am indebted to both Billy and Lorne for my faith in Christ.

  6. Anne Webster

I was 15 years old when my dad passed. At the time I gave up on God because I felt he took my dad away. My Aunt Virginia prayed for me. On June 21, 1995 while we were watching Billy Graham on TV I was compelled to give my life to Christ. My Aunt Virginia credited Mr. Graham with saving my life.

  7. Rosemary Nord

I saw him when I was in the 8th grade in San Francisco Giant’s Stadium. I raised my hand and people gathered around me and prayed for me. I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. I was crying, and I truly felt and understood the love of God. Billy Graham will always be special to me for that night.

  8. Gloria Jean Grooms

I’m 75 years old and never met Rev. Graham, but every since I was a little girl my mother talked about him. She had all of his books, and I have some of them now. As I got older and listened to him on TV, I felt close to God when he talked. He was a great man of God.
