Memories & Condolences

God has used the life and ministry of Billy Graham to impact the lives of millions around the world. Perhaps you have a testimony about Mr. Graham’s ministry.

What did Mr. Graham mean to you? We invite you to share your stories and remembrances or express your condolences to the family here.

  1. Vernona Hearne

1958 Old Charlotte Coliseum was the first time I’d seen the Gospel. John 14:6 was on the banner across the stage. When Billy Graham preached it was the first time I’d heard the Gospel. I was almost 17 and pregnant with my daughter. PRAISE GOD, He opened my heart, I believed and was born again!

  2. Alberta Williams

I had the privilege of going to one of Billy Graham’s Crusades In Columbus, OH. They didn’t have huge churches like they do today, but we were in an outside football stadium and I have never seen so many people coming to listen to him. I have never seen that many people accepting Christ before.

  3. Larry Tindell

I felt more comfortable knowing Billy was in the world. I never attended any of his meetings in person but watched many of them on TV. Like Mr. Graham, I claim to be a sinner saved by Grace, and that through my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I’m just a common man. My sincerest condolences to the family.

  4. Jennifer Baxter

I call the Billy Graham Library “the happiest place on Earth” because the sense of peace and God’s presence you feel there is truly awesome. I just visited this month and was inspired once again by Billy’s obedience and humility. It reminds us just how much one faithful servant can do. Thank you.

  5. Ann Frederickson

I also have a birthday on November 7, so I always felt special that we shared a birthday. I am a year-round volunteer with Operation Christmas Child and am pleased to know that Mr. Graham is in Jesus’ arms.

  6. Keith McCully

Billy Graham’s biography “Just As I Am” told of many times he was sick or otherwise in poor physical condition prior to or during crusades. Nevertheless, he persevered – he went (or stayed) and preached. This has encouraged me many times to go on Brazil mission trips when I didn’t feel so well.

  7. Jennifer Oconnor

I’ve always told people all my life, “Don’t say anything about my Billy!” because he was truly our only real example of a modern day Moses! Because of his sacrifice of a life, he inspired me to go into the ministry and there’s no doubt when he left here that he finally got to hear “well done.”

  8. Helen Johnson

I thank God for the life of Rev. Billy Graham. Shortly after our marriage, we attended the Billy Graham Crusade in Dallas, Texas in 1953, while my husband in school, training for the ministry. God used that Crusade to strengthen us for the 61 years of ministry we had together for the Lord.

  9. Gregory Karris

I felt privileged+honored to serve God at the 1989 Billy Graham Crusade at the Nassau Coliseum in Hempstead, NY. I was one of many counselors. I was truly inspired by the way Billy preached. The “True Gospel” of Jesus Christ. Billy preached with power and authority. He was anointed by God.
