At Billy Graham’s first U.K. Crusade at Haringey in 1954, I went forward to understand for the first time what full assurance of salvation means. Thanks.
I’ve watched Rev. Billy Graham my whole life. He was a wonderful inspiration. His life guided me toward ministry. I met him in 1991 with Ruth and others at a restaurant I worked at during the time. He was gracious and willing to speak to anyone. Thank you for your giving lifestyle, Rev. Billy Graham.
In 1982, I attended a Billy Graham Crusade in Boston and it changed my life forever. I joined the Episcopal Church. Thank you, Billy. I had been looking for a church where I would “fit.” I walked down toward the podium to the strains of “Just as I Am,” prayed with two volunteers and God guided me.
My father was a counselor in the first New York Crusade and received an autographed Bible from Dr. Graham. He also helped find a place for Charles Riggs and his family to reside. I attended many meetings there as a young boy and my faith was strengthened. I will miss him here on earth.
I remember as a child that my mother was totally blind in both eyes from a brain tumor. She loved the Crusades.
Billy was truly a man of God! He allowed God to speak through him over the years to millions of people. He changed many lives. God bless him. He now rests with our Creator and Lord. Many prayers.
I remember going to a stadium in San Diego for a Crusade when I was a young woman. I was already a believer but I remember all the people going forward. What a blessing! Praying for your family.
We never had the pleasure of meeting Evangelist Graham; however, his preaching has always been Spirit-filled! God bless Evangelist Graham’s family!
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. What a blessing and privilege to have lived in a time when God raised up such a man as Billy Graham!
My uncle was born on Dr. Graham’s birthday. I grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, and worked near Black Mountain. The first spiritual knowledge I had about God was through Dr. Graham on television. My relationship with God is due to listening to sermons and reading them in Asheville Citizen Times’ paper column. They helped me understand the Bible.
