I remember listening to Billy Graham on the radio most Sundays in January and February 1952, while waiting at the downtown YMCA in Norfolk, Virginia. What an inspiration it was for a lonely GI! Also, I was in Dallas, Texas, the day he joined the First Baptist Church there. It became his home church!
All my visits to the Library are cherished, although I most treasure my first visit. I always admired your family, and to stand where Billy Graham stood and look at his desk and books awed me. I prayed with a volunteer about a personal tragedy and will always hold the peace from that visit in my heart.
I was about 11 years old, babysitting after a swim practice during summertime. I watched a Billy Graham Crusade on TV while eating my lunch. I remember standing up with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in my hand and praying to receive Christ. It changed my life! Praise God!
Billy Graham was very special to me. I loved to watch the Crusades on TV. When I was young, I worked at a theater that showed his movie “Restless Ones.” I loved it. In fact, I just ordered it so I could watch it again. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. He will be missed. ??❤️
My prayers are with the family. I listened to Billy Graham many times on TV. He was truly a man of God. He will be missed here on earth, but now he is in heaven with Jesus Christ.
In 1971 while watching a Billy Graham Crusade on television, I knelt in front of that TV and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. My life was changed forever. Praise God! I also had the privilege of attending Dr. Graham’s last Crusade in Minneapolis. Thank You, God, for sending him to us.
Our prayers and sympathy remain with your family and staff at the BGEA. We have been blessed by the power of God’s Holy Spirit in Dr. Graham’s life work. We mourn and rejoice with you all. May our Lord Jesus cover you in His glorious presence as we endeavor to do His will. (2 John 12)
Dr. Graham spoke at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, in 1972 every night during a Bill Bright conference, “Explo ’72.” I was a baby Christian then and his teaching began my journey.
God spoke through Billy Graham. His ministry is still inspiring me.
I’ve been a Christian pastor for 45 years now. It all started in my small bedroom as a teenager listening to Billy Graham on the radio on Sunday evening. I never knew that Jesus cared one bit for me. Everything changed that night. All because Billy Graham shared Jesus’ message with me. Thank you!
