Dear Gigi, Anne, Bunny, Franklin and Ned, Thank you for letting us be part of that wonderful memorial service for your dad. Though most of us never met him personally, we loved him and your mom and felt like they were part of our family, too. So looking forward to finally meeting them in glory!
I met Billy Graham personally in 1956 in Oklahoma City. He was walking with other men. He turned around and saw me and introduced himself. “I’m Billy Graham.” I was so surprised I could not think of my name. I responded, “I’m Ted’s wife.” I will never forget it.
I met Billy Graham at a revival here in Billings in the ’80s. Our church participated and I was in the choir. I have loved Billy Graham for years (I’m from Minneapolis) and had contact with the organization there. His style and approach was Spirit-led. He will be missed by all.
Dear family of Billy Graham. As a new bride in 1957 I went to Shea Stadium in NY with my choir. I had already given my life to Christ at age 12 at a Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, NY. Pastor Snyder presented me with my first Bible for memorizing 100 Bible verses. I love Billy & Ruth.
When a teenager I listened to Rev. Graham on radio. When a sow I had on our farm farrowed, I tithed the sale of one piglet and was thrilled to send my tithe to the broadcast. I loved the Lord and met Rev. Graham first through “Youth For Christ” in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Blessed be his memory.
My most influential memory of Evangelist Billy Graham was when he stood up against segregation in meetings!
Daddy took our family to hear Rev. Graham in the early 1950s in Albuquerque, NM. I was 8 years old. Tent service, music and a man with a booming voice preached. It started raining. The tent leaked just a bit and I watched a puddle get bigger and bigger. Beginning of a lifetime with Billy Graham!
Thank you to the family for sharing Billy Graham’s final earthly evangelical moments with us. I will say that I love his writings, especially Unto the Hills and Angels, God’s Secret Agents. I am enjoying the Billy Graham channel on SiriusXM. I can’t wait to hang out with you all in heaven! Jesus!
I got saved and trusted Jesus Christ as Savior at the Billy Graham crusade 1999. I was at the TWA dome in St. Louis, Missouri, which is called the Edward Jones dome now. I got off my seat and met Billy Graham close up.
I met Billy Graham in an orthopedic office I was working in as an x-ray tech. I had x-rayed Ruth a couple of times. One day I was told Billy was leaving the office. I grabbed my Bible, raced out the back door (scared everyone) and asked him to sign my Bible. He smiled and said, “I sure will!” Philippians 1:6.
