Remembering the late Dr. Billy Graham, it was in the 60s when I first met him at a hotel in Jamaica, the Tryall Hotel and Golf. He had a cottage there while I was working at the hotel.
The Crusades and Decision magazines really impacted my life. The Bible studies by Anne Graham Lotz and a few others helped.
In 1957, I went to New York City to visit my aunt. I only remember going to a Billy Graham Crusade at Madison Square Garden and accepting Christ as my Savior. It was was the best decision I have ever made. I was only 7 years old.
My condolences to the family. I will miss Dr. Graham, but rejoicing that he is in the very presence of the Lord. I came to know the Lord through a televised Billy Graham crusade in New York City in 1969. I am truly grateful!
My mother and father responded to an altar car in Fresno, California. PTL. The book, Angels, was used by God in all our lives. We cannot wait to see Billy Graham in heaven and tell him thank you.
I remember watching Reverend Graham with my family as a kid over 40 years ago. Hearing him preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ was enjoyed by all and remains with me still, especially when watching his classic teachings. May Jesus continue to bless this ministry, Franklin, Anne, and staff.
Indeed life and death of Pastor Billy Graham were a testimony around the world of God’s unconditional love. In 1999 I had the opportunity of seeing him preaching in Curitiba, Brazil. Please accept solemn sympathy from my father, Samuel de Souza, who is 90 years old with Alzheimer’s, and me.
When I was 12 years old my family attended the Billy Graham Crusade in Portland, OR in 1950. I was so moved I decided to go forward to accept Jesus Christ as my savior & there were my Mom and Dad moving into the aisle also. Our lives forever changed for the good. Now my children Know Him as well.
In 1/1950, excitement filled the Boston air. A new rally came to town. Happy people going thru the subways singing hymns waiting for their trains. I was a young nursing student, 20 yrs old & went with nursing friends & accepted Christ as my Lord & Savior. Eternally grateful, Marion Mahoney DeVos (88).
I was able to participate in one of his last crusades here in New York. A memory I will always cherish.
