The impact was great. I’m 56 and in the 60’s & 70’s my grandmother never missed a chance to turn the tv to Billy Graham. My young ears listened and watched….and one day those seeds became the fruit of my salvation. Mr Graham’s passing has stirred a new revival in my own heart. To God be the Glory!
I was blessed to attend the last crusade in 2005 in New York with a friend. When I was reminded in his passing, I prayed once more for the protestors we had passed on the way into the crusade area. I prayed the Lord to open each heart who was there that day to His great love and mercy.
I was with my mom, dad and sister at the crusade in Richmond, VA (1950’s) where Billy Graham spoke and gave the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My sister and I both went forward to receive Jesus as Savior. I’m so thankful that God used him for my salvation.
On Tues, Feb 21, I was headed to a medical appt about 11:15 am. Very clearly & profoundly in my spirit I heard – “He is 99 years old. We are not going to let him linger anymore.” I was perplexed until I heard of Billy’s passing the next day. We are surely on God’s mind at all times. God bless.
It was so moving for our family to go to the Capitol on Wednesday. Thank you Graham family for being there. Charles was stationed in Korea and was asked to drive Rev. Graham to the Battalion for him to speak to the troops. Ann found Christ at a rally, the East Front of the Capitol years ago.
I cried when I first heard that the world had lost such a wonderful preacher, but I rejoice because he’s now at home with the Lord Jesus Christ! I attended his Evang. Crusade on the Great Lawn in Central Park, NYC in 1991 and was so grateful to have seen him up close. I will miss this great man of God!
Our love for Rev Billy Graham was A Love that he preached his whole life. The love that God said to Love everyone with! This world has lost a great man. He will be missed by all.
We saw Billy Graham Preach in Cincinnati, Ohio. Back in I think it was 2003, not for sure, but it was great to see him. he actually took off his dark sunglasses on the way out when I was taking his picture from where I was. I thought maybe he did that to acknowledge that he had seen me. That was great.
When I was 12 years old, Billy Graham came on my radio. At the end of his preaching he invited me to ask Jesus to be my Savior. So I did. He said he would send me a Bible if I asked. Send request to Minneapolis, MN. If I couldn’t spell it, just put “Many Apples.” My red cover Bible came as promised.
I remember growing up listening to his messages with my mom. It was God speaking through him every time he spoke. He was a great influence to my mom who passed at age 95, five years ago. One day I look forward to seeing Pastor Graham in heaven as my precious mom. God bless your family.
