Memories & Condolences

God has used the life and ministry of Billy Graham to impact the lives of millions around the world. Perhaps you have a testimony about Mr. Graham’s ministry.

What did Mr. Graham mean to you? We invite you to share your stories and remembrances or express your condolences to the family here.

  1. Drs. Alan, Jessica Winquist

Alan was in the choir at Madison Square Garden in 1957. It was a life changing experience to hear Rev. Graham night after night. He motivated me to go to Wheaton College. Jessica worked in the B.G. headquarters in the late 1950s while attending Northwestern College. Blessings.

  2. Charles Doering

I was privileged to attend Billy Graham’s crusade at MSG in NY in 1957. His message along with my dad’s (George Richard Doering) faith and support lead me to Christ as a result. Viewing his TV messages over the years helped me, a sinner saved by grace, to be ever faithful. May he rest in peace.

  3. Alice Lacson

I saw him in the Philippines as a child and as an adult at Madison Square Garden. He left a profound impact of living a Christian life. I read his books from my mother’s library growing up.

  4. Robbie Mullen

I actually never met Mr. Billy Graham up close and personal, but I did attend one of the Crusades he had in Dothan, Alabama, years ago. I was a child, what age I do not remember, but his sermon touched me. Thank you for following God’s calling on your life.

  5. mary Brock

Twenty-one years ago, we moved from North Carolina and stopped at the Billy Graham Retreat Center (we visit there often). Our son was in his early twenties, and we heard Billy and Ruth were in the building. I have a picture of him, Kevin, standing between them at Ruth’s invitation. I made 18 copies—a treasure.

  6. Deborah Grover

After viewing and being so moved by “The Message of the Cross,” we decided instead of lighting a Christmas tree outside in our rural area, that we’d erect a wooden cross wrapped in white lights. We light this from Thanksgiving to Christmas Day, and then again on Easter morning. Thank you, Mr. Graham!

  7. Rev. Michael Thurber

Billy Graham was truly an ambassador for the Lord! Whether I watched him on TV, or listened to a sermon, or read from his many books, there was one thing I could count on: The teaching of the full Gospel of Christ. I’m sure he heard these words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

  8. Kevin Marsh

I gave my heart to Jesus Christ on May 5, 1987. Shortly after that, I was given an opportunity to attend a Billy Graham evangelism course. It was strange that the Holy Spirit was leading me to learn about sharing a faith that I knew little about, but those six weeks grounded me in my newfound faith.

  9. Amber Crumpler

During the Decision America Texas Tour, my son gave his heart and life to God! What memories I have growing up listening to Billy, and the ones I have been able to experience with my child from Franklin. We are forever grateful to God. The Graham family will always hold a special place in our lives!

  10. Julie Mancil

Billy Graham’s funeral service was a wonderful testimony to his walk with Jesus. He has encouraged me by his boldness to preach the Gospel, and his evidence of the Fruit of the Spirit in his life through the years has helped my walk with Jesus. God bless you all, his family!
