When I was a teenager, my dad would tune in to the Billy Graham crusades broadcasts. As I was being raised up to love the Lord, I loved listening to Billy’s messages, and they inspired, challenged, and strengthened my faith immeasurably. I still listen to his messages. I’m 67. God bless you Franklin.
I got baptized a few weeks ago and before that I was still struggling with faith. Out of curiosity I asked myself who Billy Graham was, watched a clip and within a few weeks started to understand the gospel of Christ with clarity. God bless his soul.
I read Mr. Graham’s “The Journey” and it impacted me immeasurably.
My mother went to the Billy Graham Crusade in 1952 and gave her life to Jesus at that time. Because of that decision she was able to bring me to Christ and I was raised in a godly home. She passed away in 2014 but the Christ she brought me to know lives within me still. I read BG devotions daily.
I remember watching the Billy Graham crusade on television when I was young. His preaching was a gift from God. The world will miss him, but we know he rests in peace and love with his beloved Ruth. “For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
I was a 24-year-old truck driver when I heard Dr. Graham on the radio. It was August 1995 and I was looking for a rock station when I first heard his voice on the radio, and I didn’t even know who he was. That night he gave the invitation to receive Christ and I became a Christian. Today I’m a jail minister.
Prayers for the family.
I believe God selects certain people to continue the work of Abraham, Moses. I believe Billy Graham was one of those people.
I was saved at a Billy Graham film crusade in a small community of Coal Creek Canyon in 1970. I will be forever grateful for the clear message of salvation that was obscure in the church I grew up in. Praise God for for all the ways BG served our living Lord.
Back in 1982 after the birth of my son I was home and turned the TV on and there was Billy Graham. I really listened and I called and prayed to receive Jesus. Thank you Lord for saving me.
