Billy Graham had a passion for lost souls and dedicated his life to that mission. Our church took a group to the Cincinnati Gardens where one of his films was shown. After it was over, an invitation was given and I went forward to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior. Members came to pray with us.
I got saved watching Billy in ’79 or the 80’s just by saying the simple faith prayer in my old house. I didn’t feel a thing, but the next day I felt the fire of God. My life is changed forever. All praise to God forever.
I was at one of his Crusades in Florida in the 80’s. The talk was wonderful. I loved the way Reverend Graham hit right on, with love for all people. I went forward with a neighbor who was not a Christian. She gave her heart to Christ. I was so overwhelmed that she and I were both crying.
He was a great man and told God’s truth.
A Crusade came to our town of Clarksburg, West Virginia. I went to the gymnasium, hoping to hear Billy Graham but someone else held the meeting. After that, my neighbor and I always watched when he was on TV. She would call and say, “He’s on! It’s channel 9. Hurry, he’s about to start preaching.”
Billy Graham was the “man of God” of our country—that’s how I’ve always thought of him.
Amazing what the Lord can do with one person totally surrendered to HIM. If you are willing to be used however God sees fit, great things can happen. Christians simply being willing — this is how God changes the world! Billy Graham was a wonderful example of this.
In 1972 without work and living at home, I had lost hope. I quit church when I became a teenager, not having been baptized. Billy Graham’s crusade was on TV, and I to listened to his every word; Jesus spoke to my heart. Accepting a neighbor’s invite to church, I was saved and baptized. Thank-you.
I watched Billy Graham sermon videos and they really inspired me to be more passionate about serving the Lord. Thank you Heavenly Father for using Billy Graham to inspire us younger generation Christians in Jesus’ name, Amen. I know God has a special place for great men of faith like Billy Graham.
My husband attended a Billy Graham Crusade in 1964 in Denver, CO. My husband was not saved at that time but I was and had been since 1938. He thought he was a Christian at the time, but after hearing Billy Graham he knew he was not, so he went forward that night and received Jesus Christ as his Lord.
