I grew up with Mr. Graham on the television and in books in my home as my own father had such a deep respect and love of Billy Graham. My father taught me that Mr. Graham was one pastor you could trust as giving you the true word of the Bible. I like to think that my father and he have finally met.
Prayers for the family.
Dr. Billy Graham is my hero. He is the closest thing to perfection. I admire him so very much for the work he has done around the world. I get so much joy listening to his crusades via the internet…some were well before I was born. I know he is with Ruth in heaven.
I trusted the Lord as my Savior in one of the first Billy Graham rallies in my church in Charlotte, N.C. in 1945. I was active in one of Billy Graham’s Youth For Christ clubs too. Dr. Graham’s early ministry guided me through my teenage years. I look back on over 50 years of walking with Jesus.
I really liked Billy Graham and all of his many quotes. He was definitely a man of God and this world will miss him and all of his wonderful teachings. I remembered him saying that they felt that he was so blessed because his mother prayed for him every day and because of his words, I too pray.
I am a woman of a certain age (75) who has been facing some very real challenges for the last couple of years. I won’t bore you with the details. So, I recently purchased your father’s book “Nearing Home” and was so blessed that I needed to share. Jesus is still using your dad to touch people.
Dr. Graham was instrumental in my mother’s salvation and the rest of our family. My brother went forward to accept Christ at the tender age of 6 when the invitation was given at the conclusion of an evangelistic film in the 1960s. His ministry has brought us closer to our Savior and Lord. -TX family
My husband and I both have great respect for Reverend Graham. My husband has adopted Pastor Billy’s practice of never being alone with a woman not his wife. When my friend learned of this practice, she told her husband, who agreed that was a good idea.
I love Billy Graham with all my heart. My mom passed away and she used to watch him almost every day. And I watch him because my mom watched him and his sermons are interesting, lovable and make a lot of sense. He’s in a better place, and I know my mom and dad are having a good time talking with him.
I just want to tell the story about my daddy, Pastor Flake Carson. He accepted Christ in our living room one night listening to a Billy Graham Crusade on TV. After that, our whole family changed. Dad was the one who sent you cash in an envelope because he did not have a checking account.
