My condolences to Billy Graham’s family, ministry and all who knew his words for the love of God. May your hearts be healed with the presence of his life on earth to eternal life. I yearned for the presence of hearing Christian preachers, Billy Graham, anything my grandparents could offer. Blessings.
As a child I watched Pastor Graham on TV, not knowing that years later his preaching would have an effect on my life. Now I’m saved and a evangelist and preach and watch Pastor Graham. He had an impact on the world and a voice for God and our Lord and Savior where many lives were changed, even mine.
I recently formed the habit of taking books from my father’s library to read and then return when I am done reading, but Billy Graham’s “The Holy Spirit” was an exception. I never returned that book because it was an eye opener to me and the impact it has made is still evident in my spiritual life.
I was saved at age 12 after listening to a TV broadcast of one of Dr. Graham’s crusades. My mom realized that God was speaking to me through Dr. Graham that day and prayed with me to receive Christ. I am so grateful he responded to God’s call on his life. He served God well and with great integrity.
Our church went to Franklin’s crusade in Pittsburgh. My friend even invited someone to attend. The next day she was killed in a car accident. Her last day was spent inviting someone to come and know Jesus. I was inspired by Franklin’s message, too. I want others to know Him and the message.
Back in the late 70’s, I was definitely soul searching & would read Billy’s newspaper column every day. There was something about him that drew me in. I later gave my life to the Lord and have followed Him all these years growing stronger in my walk more and more. I am very grateful for Mr. Graham.
I heard Mr. Graham on his Hour of Decision program on Sunday in our area each week, and I knew of my need for Jesus, through his presenting the Word of God each week. He taught with compassion and much caring, and I could tell he cared for others most deeply and sincerely.
When I was about 10 yrs old, my parents went to Warsaw, IN. to a huge auditorium to listen to Billy preach as he was on a crusade. He spoke so eloquently & profound, I remember thinking then that he was my idol. I just remember his eyes so full of love for everyone there, just as you see here above!
Mr. Graham was and continues to be one of the most influential men of God in my life. I accepted Jesus as my savior in the mid 80s when I lost everything due to bad drinking/drug habits. Mr. Graham’s crusades impacted my new life in Jesus to this day. I called him our modern day “Moses.”
Condolences to the family
