In 1976, while watching a BGEA Crusade, my father Ezra Lefort, Sr. stated if he was present he would go forward for salvation. This seed blossomed on Sunday when invited to church. He was born again as was my mother. Two years later, he was killed in a car accident.
In May 2001, at my grandmother’s funeral, my brother asked, “What’s in us that leaves us when we die?” I said, “the Holy Spirit.” In June, he heard Billy Graham was coming to Louisville and wanted to go. It was there he gave his life to Jesus, and to this day he serves in the church I pastor.
Billy saved my live. He brought me back to Christ, and I am eternally grateful for his devotion to God. He inspired me to not give up. My eternal thanks to the Graham family.
I have very fond memories growing up with the whole family gathering around the television watching the Billy Graham Crusade. It was a special event and memory for me. He truly was a man of God and a heavenly role model for us all. Thank you, Mr. Graham, for your faithful work on this earth.
My father always watched every Billy Graham program. He always told me when it was on. He would always sing “Just as I Am.” I always try to watch when I see programs on.
I thank God so much for being able to see the anointing on Pastor Graham when I watch videos of his sermons from the past. His message is always so clear and enriching.
I grew up listing to Billy Graham and going to hear him preach. Greatest ever!! My dad, also a preacher in later years, thinks maybe Billy Graham had influence on him surrendering to be a preacher.
I remember around 1970 watching Dr. Graham on TV. He spoke of Christ shedding his blood on the cross to save sinners. I was born Jewish. In the Summer of 1971 I was in Canterbury, England. I bought my first New Testament. I read the Sermon on the Mount. I asked Jesus to save me.
Billy Graham has always been an influence in my life. While I was a senior in high school on Friday nights, I would order a medium hamburger pizza and watch Billy Graham on television. Every Friday night I was watching Billy Graham.
Sir Billy Graham has influenced me deeply. I came to know more and more about Christ through him and strengthen my spiritual life. I used to watch his messages to satisfy my soul.
