Pastor Graham gave me spiritual strength and encouragement and hope and happiness in my life. I’m going to miss him.
I grew up with four older brothers in a Christian home with a mother who read the Bible to us each night. We listened to you on the radio and later the TV. Jesus Christ through Pastor Graham had a tremendous effect on my life. I stood at the altar in Birmingham in the early 1970s and recommitted my life.
Thank you. I was at the Texas Stadium in Dallas, Texas, September 1971.
God used you in so many ways to correct and inspire me and so many. My most profound memories are of being in the choir at the San Diego Crusade and singing “Just as I Am ” with hundreds of other voices, and then watching hundreds of people come forward to commit their lives to Christ. Those are precious memories.
We are practicing Catholics, and we took our boys to see Billy Graham in Portland, Oregon. They were about 13 and 14 year olds. Without us being aware, they went right up to the stage during the invitation with us. It was a wonderful experience.
Praise the Lord for a man whose message never changed: simple and always pointing to how God loves all people.
I was one of those that got saved in front of my TV when Mr. Graham stepped to the side of the podium, pointed straight into the camera and said, “You folks at home can give your life to Christ.”
I went down to the Los Angeles 1963 Crusade.
My grandmother and mother both loved Billy. They introduced my brother, also named Billy, my sister and myself to him when we were younger. We have loved him and his family and know we will see them in heaven one day! Our condolences to his family.
My warmest condolences to the Graham family during the homegoing of their loved one. I have memories of my mom and I watching his Crusades.
